Editorial selection process
Annual review methodology
The Cruceroadicto.com editorial team conducts a thorough review each year to determine eligible candidates in the three main categories:
CANDIDATE CRUISE LINES: The cruise lines available to the average Spanish-speaking cruiser worldwide are reviewed. Those that cannot be booked in traditional online agencies in the different Spanish-speaking countries and those cruise lines that have ceased their activity are eliminated.
CANDIDATE SHIPS: The complete fleet of each candidate cruise line is updated, adding new ships that have entered service and eliminating those that have been sold, scrapped or have ceased operating during the season.
CANDIDATE PORTS: The itineraries of the candidate ships are reviewed to identify which ports have been the most visited as stopovers or have served as home ports to start or end cruises.
Inclusion criteria
Accessibility: All candidates must be accessible to the average Spanish-speaking cruiser through traditional booking channels.
Confirmed activity: Only candidates with confirmed cruise activity during the 2025 season are included.
Geographic relevance: Priority is given to candidates with a presence in itineraries accessible from ports with regular connections to Spanish-speaking countries.

Differential value of the selection
At Cruceroadicto.com we are proud of the arduous process of configuring the final list of candidates so that travelers can choose their favorites.
This allows to obtain an exceptional voting quality since there is no open field that allows to freely enter the name of the chosen one. This methodology avoids typical errors such as someone voting for "Barcelona" and another for "varcelona", or confusion between ships with similar names such as "Royal Caribbean" vs "Royal Princess".
The result: clean, accurate and comparable data that accurately reflect the real preferences of cruisers, without distortions caused by typos, duplicate names or spelling variations.
Specialized editorial work
The selection of candidates is an ongoing editorial task that requires in-depth knowledge of the sector and constant monitoring of changes in the industry.
This process ensures that voters find exactly the choices of their actual experience, without confusion or irrelevant candidates that may distort the results.
Constant updating
The list of candidates is continually updated each edition with the changes registered in each year, incorporating new shipping lines starting operations, ships entering service, and ports joining new itineraries.
This update ensures that the 2025 edition reflects the current broad picture of the cruise industry accessible to the Spanish-speaking market.
The largest international coverage of any award
With 592 ports in 118 countriesThe CruiseAddict Awards 2025 evaluate everything from the world's major hubs to unique destinations on every continent. No other cruise industry award has this complete geographic coverage.
